The short version
Quad is a widget app. Everything it shows is worked out on your iPhone. We don’t run a server for the app, we don’t have accounts, we don’t use analytics or advertising, and we never see, sell or share your personal data.
What the app uses, and why
Each of these is optional. iOS asks your permission first, and you can change your mind at any time in Settings. If you say no, the widgets that need it show a sample instead.
- Location (approximate). Used for the weather and for sunrise and sunset on your widgets. The app asks for city-level accuracy and sends coordinates rounded to about 1 km to Apple Weather (WeatherKit) to get the forecast. Nothing else is sent with it.
- Health (read only). Your steps, distance and Activity rings, shown on the fitness widgets. Health data stays on your iPhone: it is never sent anywhere, never used for advertising, and the app never writes to Health.
- Music. What’s playing in Apple Music, so the player widgets can show it and offer play, pause and skip. This stays on your iPhone.
- Bluetooth. Only if you tap Connect for the Devices widget. The app reads the battery level that connected accessories, like headphones and keyboards, report. It doesn’t scan for other devices, and the levels stay on your iPhone.
- Photos (add only). Only used to save a pack’s wallpaper to your library when you ask. The app can’t see your photos.
Purchases
Quad+ is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment and your billing details; we only receive confirmation that a subscription is active, so the app can unlock the packs. See Apple’s privacy policy.
What we don’t do
- No accounts, sign-ups or email collection in the app.
- No analytics, tracking, advertising or data brokers.
- No selling or sharing of personal data, ever.
Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics if you’ve chosen to share them with app developers in your iPhone’s settings.
Your rights and deleting your data
Because your data lives on your iPhone, deleting the app removes it. Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask us what we hold about you (for the app, that’s nothing) or ask any question about this policy at hello@quad.supply. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children
Quad isn’t directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above. Quad is a UK studio; contact us at hello@quad.supply.
